Belgowie zachwyceni "Krzykiem" na ulicach...

   Paradę dzieł sztuki z początku XX wieku otwiera Elipsa Magritt’a. Kukła zrobiona na podobieństwo słynnego dzieła belgijskiego artysty jest równie surrealistyczna, co jej pierwowzór. „Pomysł jest taki , by te postaci zazwyczaj oglądane na obrazach, teraz same wyszły na ulice i pooglądały sobie ludzi i świat” tłumaczy mi Corrine Petitpierre. Za muzy Corrine i jej koledze, francuskiemu artyście, Ivo Cledat’owi posłużyły obrazy najsłynniejszych malarzy początku XX wieku:  „Ubu” Marx'a Ernest'a, „”Maski” Giorgio de Chirico, czy „Dama z kotem”  Fernand'a Leger'a, no i oczywiście słynny „Krzyk” Edvarda Muncha.  „Współczesna Parada” (Parade Moderne) najwięcej entuzjazmu wywołuje u najmłodszych Belgów. I chyba nie ma w tym nic dziwnego, bo w kraju Magritt’a surrealizm wysysa się z mlekiem matki.. Zrobione na podobieństwo dzieł sztuki kukły odwiedziły już kilka belgijskich miast i sądząc po zainteresowaniu, jakie wzbudzają, wkrótce zawitają pewnie do kolejnych zakątków, od lat zakochanej w surrealizmie Belgii...

Belgians are fascinated by "the Scream" on the streets... 

   „Parade Modern” in Leuven is led by Magritt’s „Ellipse”. The doll which resembles the famous art piece is as surrealistic as its prototype. “The idea is to take the main heroes and objects of the famous paintings, out for a walk on the streets, so that this time it is them who can watch people and the world around them”, explains the author of the Parade, Corrine Petitpierre. Together with another French artists, Ivo Cledat she created special effigies reflecting the most famous paintings from the beginning of the 20th century, such as “Ubu” by Marx Ernest, “Masques” by Giorgio de Chirico, “La Femme au chat” by Fernand Leger, and of course the famous “Scream” by Edvard Munch. “Parade Modern” is most warmly and enthusiastically welcomed by the youngest Belgians. And there is nothing surprising in it, as in the country of Magritte children are born with the love for surrealism. Looking like art pieces dolls have already visited a few Belgian towns and judging by the interest and enthusiasm they arouse, The Modern Parade will probably take place in many other Belgian towns soon.
